The dropdown menu that goes across the top of each page is easy to spot. It's a nice dark gray color. The items across the menu start with "Women", "Men", "Kids" and so on.
The left menu changes as you pick different categories. This helps you filter down to what you want. There is also a cookie crumb trail to help you backtrack if you need to.
The search runs fairly quickly. It works as quickly for multiple word searches as simple searches.

Shoes.com has a simple yet effective look. There are only a few main colors used on the website. This is good for emphasizing the shoes. However, the text color could be a little darker to make it more easily legible.
The categories are well organized and the pictures are clear and of high quality. The list of products are separated by a plenty of whitespace that helps readability. There are multiple ways to filter your selection such as price, brand, or type.
