NAVIGATION

Boscovs has a couple of ways to navigate their website. There is a menu at the top. Along the left side, there is another menu. And below the top menu, there is a search box.
The top menu is easy to spot. It's a nice blue color. However, the main items don't appear to be in any particular order. It starts with "Shop for Her" all the way across to "Outlet Center". So, it doesn't look like it's in alphabetical order.
The left menu changes as you pick different categories. This helps you filter down to what you want. It also doesn't go in alphabetical order.
The search runs fairly quickly. It works as quickly for multiple word searches as simple searches. There is also a cookie crumb trail to backtrack to previous pages.
OVERALL LOOK

Boscovs has a simple yet effective look. The navigation is a little tough to remember where things are the first go-around. But once you start using it a little bit, it starts to get easy to find what you're looking for.
The categories are well organized and the pictures are clear and of high quality. The list of products are separated by a thin box that helps readability.

Boscovs's average score was a 8.3 out of 10. This is based on their huge variety of products to choose from and their good product's pages. They also had numerous ways to navigate their website.
The downsides were that the menus weren't alphabetized. The look could have been a little more user friendly. The menus also could stand out a little more and be organized a little better.
