Altrec has a couple of ways to navigate their website. There is a dropdown menu at the top. Below that, there is another menu. Along the left side, there is another pull-out menu. And on the top left, there is a search box.
The dropdown menu that goes across the top of each page has yellow arrows to indicate that they open up to show more options. This menu groups their products by categories such as Clothes, Jackets, and Footwear. The menu right below it groups products by who, where, and what you're using the products for, such as Men, Women, Beach, Travel, and Snowboard. This is a very good way to narrow down what you what if you just want to browse.
The left menu will give you more specific options as you keep selecting which categories to follow. It is very intuitive and makes it easy to navigate.
The search runs fairly quickly. I guess the only issue is that there is so much space below the search box and the menu, that it almost is lost when your looking at the menu. But otherwise, its among the better navigation methods seen on e-commerce sites.

The colors for the site are very good. The lettering is too close for one of the menus. It's not un-readable, but it almost makes out like a sentence.
The spacing of each product is good. It's also good that they put a thin box around the product.

Grade : 9.0 out of 10
Altrec's average score was a 9 out of 10. This is based on their huge variety of products to choose from and their good product's pages. They also had multiple ways of grouping their products to help someone just browsing the site.
The downsides were that the search was a little hidden because of the extra space below it and the menu that had very close lettering.
